Josh Inman -- Rowing

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Former Oregon State University rower Josh Inman is a five-time national team member and first-time Olympian.

Inman qualified for the 2008 Olympics by winning the men's pair competition at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials. He'll be teamed with Matt Schnobrich of St. Paul, Minnesota and it will be the first appearance in the Olympics for both rowers.
Inman graduated from Hillsboro High School before attending OSU. At Oregon State, he led the Beavers to a fourth-place finish in the 2002 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships in New Jersey.
In the national race circuit, Inman won the eight and finished second in the four at the 2007 US Rowing National Championships, finished fourth in the pair at the second 2007 National Selection Regatta and won the pair at both the second and third 2006 National Selection Regattas. Inman was also named US Rowing’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2005.
Internationally, Inman finished fourth in the eight at the 2007 FISA World Championships, fourth in the four at the 2006 FISA World Championships, won gold in the eight at the 2005 FISA World Championships, and won bronze in the four with coxswain at the 2004 FISA World Championships.
Inman's current coach is Mike Teti and he lives and trains in Princeton, N.J. with the Vesper Boat Club, Caspersen Training Center.
When he’s not on the water, Inman enjoys reading, camping, and hiking. He obtained a degree in mechanical engineering and is also proud to be an Eagle Scout. He was born on March 13, 1980, is 6’8” tall and weighs 205 lbs.
